Rain Turns Grass Green

it has been a rainy week, which has ultimately resulted in grass green and colorful blooms.

hard to believe its almost october. I'm ready for boot and soup weather, but snow...it can wait a while!

the eighth month of the year

welcome august! 

we are already three days into the month, but this post is better late than never.

end of summer plans, long lists, 104 degree temperates at 8pm at night 

and a getaway weekend trip to st.louis this will be a fun and brief month!

summer sun & odd fellows

the summer sun is full and bright right now.

this is the hottest summer since I can remember, 

maybe it is because i am not floating around on a raft in the pool every day! 

tonight i decided to try a new little cafe in a small town just north of my house.

i was surprised to find a live band (including a harmonica) and food

so interesting enough, i write this post from

'odd fellows cafe'
